What are the symptoms of a migraine?

Some signs and symptoms of migraines can include: auras - these are symptoms that occur before a migraine and include visual disturbances such as flashing lights and blind spots, sensitivity to smell, tingling of face and hands, transient weakness in limbs, and temporary speech disturbance; sound and light sensitivity; a pulsating headache; nausea and vomiting; long-lasting headache (up to 72 hours), and; pain on one or both sides of the head.
