Is sinusitis contagious?

Although sinusitis itself is not contagious, the viruses and bacteria that commonly cause it generally are contagious. They can be spread by coming in contact with droplets of fluid from sneezes or coughs from infected people. Similarly, they can also be passed on by sharing personal items.
