How is dyslipidemia treated?

The aim of treatment for dyslipidemia is to lower lipid levels to a healthy level. If your lipid levels are only slightly above the healthy range, diet and lifestyle changes may be the only treatment required. If your condition is more severe, medications can be prescribed by your doctor to lower your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
