How is chronic renal failure diagnosed?

The primary function of the kidneys is to filter the waste products from the blood so that they can be passed from the body within urine. There are various tests used to diagnose how well your kidneys are functioning. This can involve analyzing the levels of specific components in blood and urine, imaging tests and tissue sample tests. One key test is called estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), which indicates how well your kidneys are functioning.
