Who gets vitiligo?

While vitiligo can happen to anyone, it is often more noticeable in people with darker skin. It can also start at any age, but tends to first appear between the ages of 10 and 30 years. Vitiligo also tends to run in families and is more likely to occur in people with a personal or family history of autoimmune conditions.
