Who gets insomnia?

While anyone can get insomnia, there are some factors that can increase the risk of developing the condition. Females are more likely to get insomnia than males because of changes in their hormone levels related to menstruation or menopause. People over the age of 60, shift workers and people who travel long distances across different time zones are also more likely to have difficulty sleeping.
