What kind of solid foods can be introduced first?
There is no golden rule about which foods should be given first. However, it is best to introduce single-ingredient foods first, one at a time, to identify if your baby has any allergic reactions and to aid with acquiring taste. These can be given every few days. The types of foods that can be given in addition to breastmilk or formula include cereals (rice or wheat) and pureed foods, which can be vegetables, fruit and meat.
