What are the symptoms of conversion disorder?

People with conversion disorder display one or more symptoms of loss of sensory or motor (movement) functions. These can include: blindness or other vision difficulties (double vision, tunnel vision); deafness or other hearing difficulties; loss of sense of smell, touch or pain; weakness or paralysis; seizures and tremors; inability to urinate (pee); difficulty swallowing; difficulty speaking; problems with balance, gait (walking) and coordination, and; in some people, La belle indifference (a lack of distress regarding their symptoms).
