Can all mothers breastfeed?

Almost all mothers can breastfeed. Although breastfeeding is a natural act, it is also a learned skill. While some mothers and babies enter easily into breastfeeding, others can have trouble and can benefit from advice from experienced healthcare professionals such as doctors, midwives, nurses and lactation consultants. In many countries, national breastfeeding phone helplines are also available. It is rare for a woman to not produce milk, or to have a physical problem that will make her unable to breastfeed.
